Shadows move across the floor,
I don’t think I can do this anymore.
I put the barrel against my head,
Wishing I was as good as dead.
The door opens to reveal a man,
He tries to convince me I do what I can.
But all the words he speaks turn into lies,
They even bring tears to my lifeless eyes.
I tell him to get out of my way,
Or he won’t live to see another day.
He just grimaces and picks me up,
I argue but he tells me to just shut up.
He carries me bridal-style to a land far away,
To vacate me from this world that has been lead astray.
My head is clear once again,
And it is all thanks to that one strange man.

I dunno...I don't like the last two lines, I think. *shrugs* But I ran out of patience before I could try and make them rhyme. xD
Yup...when I was writing it at midnight last night, I had "Lost in Hollywood" by System of a Down stuck in my head...and Hollywood reminds me of Broadway and how hard it must be to try to get to the top...and stuff. Yeah, nevermind. |
